Oscar Night Trends

The Oscars 2012 showcased a lot in Glamorous sequence embroider gowns and fitted tuxedos. Hollywood's stars looked to have the new trend of evening wear. The red carpet was a light with many stars in Sequence and Tuxedo combinations. Although these weren't the only trends, a few stars were in Swayed inspired gowns or tuxedo combinations (Angelina Jolie), as well as bright/pastel coloured whimsical gowns (Michelle Williams, Penelope cruz, Emma Stone). The Oscars this year certainly did not disappoint, from the winners who took the statue home and the ones who walked the red carpet.

We Will Always Love you...

Whitney Elizabeth Houston laid to rest today in N.J.

(CBS/AP)

WESTFIELD, N.J. - Whitney Houston is being laid to rest at a private ceremony in New Jersey.

Houston died Feb. 11 in California at age 48. No cause of death has been determined.

She is being buried Sunday at the cemetery in Westfield where her father was interred in 2003.

Onlookers were gathering along the route to her gravesite as the police-escorted motorcade headed toward it and the hearse carrying her casket entered the cemetery.

The pop star was mourned at a funeral Saturday at the church in Newark where she sang in the choir as a child.

The invitation-only service featured a tribute by some of the biggest names in the music, including Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys. Kevin Costner and music mogul Clive Davis were among those who spoke.

Sheer African Trending

African Traditional Prints, Beads and Design... We look at traditional and modernised inspiration.
Nothing is more beautiful than when it all comes together. Trending today are head scarf’s, something that all African women know too well, modernized or traditional still use to this day. See the beauty in the traditional fashion and the modernized style.

Even though it is African tradition to wear a head scarf, either to symbolize humility and respect as a wife; to be recognized as a mother; as a mechanism in preserving healthy hair whilst sleeping or purely to be stylish. This has become a trend even in the non African communities, making it a universal and Westernized trend of fashion.

Best news today! The Elle Magazine Ed's Breakfast 2012 is being held in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. And it gets better... they are letting 15 chosen avid readers have a chance to sip on some tea with the magazine's Editor&chief, Jackie Burger.

The breakfast will take place on Florida Rd- Quarter's Hotel on the 07 March 2012.

Now it is seldom that someone so high profile chooses to will happen in lay-back Durban, but we are grateful. I've certainly sent in my motivation to be there. Would be foolish to not take up the opportunity to chat with this remarkable woman.

He has described the range as having a 1950's and 1970's mixtures of trends. Tlale accessorizes with his latest DT handbag range as well as crocodile skin belts. These items are wrapped around amazing blouses with bouquet sleeve detailing and pencil skirts.

Tlale is no stranger to the 'Big Apple' flashing lights of the fashion stage; however this will be his first time showing his line alone.
