Kenny is back...

The controversial Kenny Kunene and show are soon to be back on circuit. “So What” if I’m writing about him?, “So What” if his clothes don’t always flatter him? “So What” if what he says makes no sense and sense at the same time? “So what” if he’s just Pure, un-inhibited, Reality-entertainment? Ha??? So What!!

In this episode:
Kenny is back, bigger and better and of course larger than life! We revisit the successes of the mentorship programme which kicked off in Gauteng; the time has come to expand. Join Kenny and his entourage on a road trip to Durban to launch the second phase of the ZAR mentorship programme. Whilst living the grand life, Kenny does not forget those less fortunate and extends his generosity to make others more comfortable. Contrary to popular belief that woman are mere objects of pleasure to Kenny, he champions a worthy course and breaks the stereo type attached to the way woman dress.

Diva Extrodinaire

MZAMIE: fashionista with musical talent

Mzamo Gcabashe, known to me as the larger than life, ‘Diva Extraordinaire’ is always on his hustle to be nothing less than the best. Mzamo grew up listening to Maria Carey and finding inspiration from her lyrics and in turn found "inner strength". Being able to sing is just not enough; Mzamo believes that an artist’s job is to provide the audience with an escape. As you think about some of the influential musicians in your life you see that indeed Mzamo may be on to something... the art of performance is about being larger than life and letting people draw from your motivation and experience.

Mzamo describes how being openly gay has been his greatest teacher to acceptance; acceptance of self and others as reactions vary from person to person, he calls it "being one with society". He is defiantly not a tortured soul, instead he explains that even at a young age his siblings and family understood and accepted him. Whenever tough times arose, Mzamo had his artistic and musical talent to immerse himself in.

Mzamo is only attracted to 'The Fearless'. Even his musical influences are of the strongest and most influential across the world: Christina Aguilera, Beyonce and Madonna are but some. He gravitates to musicians that create an exterior world from the one in which we live.

You can call Mzamo visionary. He writes music, dreams up his costumes, make-up and choreography. He is defiantly focused in taking Mzansi by storm!

New Kid on the block

ANATII

Whether you call him by his given name Anathi Mnyango or Thundercat, Anathi Royal, or what he goes by off late, Anatii with a double (i), this musician/ producer is phenomenal. He is only 19 and making waves in the South African Hip-hop scene.
He is yet to have released anything solely but has worked along side the likes of artist such as Morale and L-Tido, Psyfo, Lebo M, Da Les and these are just some of the big names locally. He has also worked with the likes of Dj Khaled, internationally known producer.

Anatii is set to come out with a music video to his debut single titled Thunder Thighs. Shooting commenced this past weekend, early Sunday morning.  Anatii describes the past weekend of shooting as being “Amazing” he goes on to say that the theme that he wanted to create was one of “Africa meets the world”. I managed to get a glimpse of that looking on BlackBerry messaging pictures posted that day.  It looks like the video is sure not to disappoint in innovation and interesting cultural collaborations of  imagery.

                       Get to know Anatii Q&A:

My fav items are my GalXboy snapbach, Full cream waistcoat and my Givenchy sweater.
 6.      What will you never be seen wearing?
I know that I would never be seen wearing Head Honcho, lol

7.      Home cooked or Take-out meal?
Take-out
Anatii will be performing along side artist and friend L-Tido as one of the opening performances for music industry Legend Usher Raymond, when asked how he felt about sharing the stage with such a musical genius he said he was: “Pretty excited. It’s the beginning of bigger things to come”.

We will be holding him to those final words.
Everyone who loves hip-hop should keep a keen eye out for this artist. Anatii is going to be a Powerhouse, force- to- be- reckoned- with. I have great faith in his musical abilities and am expecting greater things from him.
